Re. Accu Calc 6.2

Centennial, CO – KBco, The Polarized Lens Company announces the release of its latest version of AccuCalc, version 6.2. Accu Calc 6.2 is software developed for KBco’s Wrap Solutions™ lenses, which precisely re-calculate an Rx for wrap frames in order to eliminate induced prism, remove astigmatic properties, and do away with reduced fields of vision.

Due to the unique aspheric design of Wrap Solutions lenses, the change to any prescription that occurs when the patient looks through an 8 base lens at a steep angle, and the use of 8 base lenses for an Rx that would normally go on a flatter base curve the Rx needs to be re-calculated when processing a wrap frame prescription.    

Accu Calc 6.2 takes into account the doctors prescribed Rx, monocular PD, fitting height, and frame measurements (A, B, & DBL). In addition, the software uses standard measurements for pantoscopic tilt, panoramic angle (face form), refracted vertex, and fitted vertex. These standard measurements can be changed if a more precise measurement is desired.
