Re. Single Vision Wrap™

Centennial, CO – KBco, The Polarized Lens Company announces the release of Wrap Solutions™, a series of polarized lenses designed to provide excellent optics in today’s oversized fashion and performance wrap frames. 

An ordinary 8 base lens can only provide excellent optics in a prescription range from +2.25D to +6.00D, and therein lies the problem. That prescription range accounts for approximately 7% of all Rx’s. The other 93% of the population who desire to have their Rx’s in wrap frames have been forced to deal with compromised optics - until now. According to Chris Bailey, Marketing Manager for KBco, “Through the use of asphericity we have created a special polarized wrap lens that gives the wearer the same excellent optics that they experience in their every day dress wear”.

Wrap Solutions™ consist of the Single Vision Wrap™, available now, and EOS Wrap™ PAL, available in 2007.

KBco’s Single Vision Wrap lenses can accommodate a prescription range from   -6.00D to +4.00D. The Single Vision Wrap is an 8 base lens, and has an 83mm diameter with 5mm of decentration making it the largest polarized lens blank available. The oversized blank was designed with the knowledge that most fashion and performance wrap frames require larger lens blanks.

Wrap Solutions Polarized Polycarbonate lenses are available in KBco Grey-C, KBco Brown-C and KBco True Grey.
